Nix & Guix gave me hope for declarative software's future, and also lots of gripes about its present. In this "vaporware" talk I explore the good and bad through the lens of Jinx, my hypothetical reimagination of declarative builds & deploys. You don't have to be a Nix or Guix user to attend, but those who use these tools heavily are highly encouraged to join!
