In 2016, Stephen Hawking announced the Project Breakthrough Starshot in the One World Trade Center, claiming the next step for humanity is the huge void between us and the stars. At the moments, our space probes like Voyager I, Voyager II and New Horizons need many tenthousand years to reach the closest stars, but new technologies using ultra light space probes and solar sails pushed with laser pulsed could reduce this to merely a few decades, hence the lifespan of a human. But how realistic is our flight to the stars?
